A Thank you note from Kujo Elementary School in Miyagi, Japan

Dear Readers,

We would like to express our sincere thanks for your generous support of our benefit concert.

We were able to raise $5,040 total and sent it to two schools in Miyagi, Japan. Last week, we received a thank you note and a picture from the Principal of Kujo Elementary School. It was such a thankful message and we were very touched.

Almost 1 year has passed since this tragedy has happened. We would like to keep praying and supporting for our country Japan.

Thank you.

-Kaori Pickett

The concert was tremendous success!

Dear Readers,

On behalf of A Place of Hope Asia, I want to thank you involved in our Japan Relief Concert on September 3rd.  The event was tremendous success; we raised more than $4,000 for the two local schools, Kesennuma Elementary School and Utatsu Junior High School in Miyagi, Japan.

We are fortunate to live in a place like Texas, and please know how much you’ve helped the students and how much we all appreciate it. Please allow us a time to inform the final result of the fund raising.

Thank you again from all of us.

A message from Yoshinori Tateyama, Texas Rangers pitcher

Japan has been challenging for recovering and rebuilding even 5 months has passed since the tragedy happened.  For the sake of Japanese people in need, I cooperated to collect donations during the spring training in Arizona.  Unfortunately I am not able to attend the concert due to the training in Boston, I really wish the successful event!

Sincerely,

-Yoshinori Tateyama
